The STATUS 202, conceived as the system for the audiophile, represents the results of the latest computer aided research in high quality speaker design. The STATUS 202 has an extremely large soundstage. For best results it is suggested that the cabinets be angled in towards the listening position and placed at least eight inches away from the rear wall. The custom-built, 160mm diameter long excursion bass unit, coupled with a computer-designed enclosure, produce excellent transients and bass extension. The narrow frontal dimensions minimise lateral diffraction, producing exceptional imaging. The Ferro-fluid cooled soft dome tweeter delivers a remarkable treble

smoothness and transparency. The low frequency driver being coincidentally time aligned, result in a smooth and uniform ‘on-axis’ as well as ‘off-axis’ response over a wide area of coverage. The enclosure, made of high-density material, dampened and lined with anechoic glass wool makes it inert with negligible cabinet colouration. Optimum system performance is determined by the proper matching of allelements of the system and can be enhanced, if amplifiers capable of providing the elements necessary to drive these superior performance capabilities power the speakers.
